Trelleborg unveils materials handling tire range


Trelleborg Wheel Systems has announced the launch of its PS1000 materials handling tire range. According to the company, these next-generation, press-on solid forklift tires incorporate the company’s Pit Stop Line, specialized compounds and a new construction that it says will guarantee uptime, efficiency and safety for operators, while reducing total cost of ownership and environmental impact.

Trelleborg and China take action for bluer skies

Trelleborg Wheel Systems implements new environmental measures at its China facilities linked to the country’s “three-year action plan for Blue Sky protection” to reduce air pollution, as per the 2016 Paris Agreement within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

New all-season tires for industrial applications

Trelleborg results down ahead of “growing challenges”


Trelleborg, Sweden – Trelleborg AB has seen its first quarter results hit by the outbreak of Covid-19 and expects the pandemic to impact sales and earnings “significantly more” during the coming quarters.

Net sales for the first quarter of 2020 declined 1% to SEK9.29 billion (€856 million), while organic sales decline 5%, Trelleborg announced in its interim first quarter results 23 April.

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions making silicone parts for face shields


NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.—Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is supplying an elastomeric component to Boeing Co. for the manufacture of its 3D-printed face shields.

Boeing, at the end of March, asked Trelleborg to produce and supply an elastomer strap for the adjustable headband of the face shields.

TSS dedicated its aerospace facility in Northborough for the manufacture of the parts which are made from an aerospace grade silicone. Within 48 hours, TSS had prepared a prototype using a number of methodologies, including 3D printing.

Tristone Flow-tech opens hose plant in North Carolina


MOORESVILLE, N.C—Tristone Flowtech Group GmbH will begin production of engine cooling hoses at its newly built manufacturing plant in Mooresville by the end of May.

Headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, the global hose, pipe and surge tank maker held the grand opening of its first facility in the U.S. on April 17. The company spent about $23.6 million on the project and, together with investments made by the owner of the site, constructed a complex that spans about 220,660 square feet.
