Tire Safety Starts with Inflation is another instalment in a series of consumer education videos that have addressed subjects like tire repair, winter tires, TPMS, inspection, tire selection, tire registration, and installing the spare tire.
The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will spread tire safety tips to take part in April’s National Car Care Month.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, nearly 11,000 tire-related car crashes occur in the United States. Throughout the month of April, the Tire Industry Association will focus on educating drivers on the importance of keeping tires properly inflated while highlighting other important aspects of tire maintenance safety tips.
TIA has announced that the 2018 nomination period for the Tire Industry Hall of Fame is open, with a deadline of July 2. Nominations can be made at www.tireindustry.org/hall-fame.
The Hall of Fame is open to individuals in the tire industry, including manufacturers, inventors, publishers, equipment suppliers, tire association executives, tire dealers, tire and rubber recyclers and retreaders. The Hall of Fame may be awarded posthumously.
Inductees are chosen based on the following criteria:
(Bowie, MD-3/8/2018) – The Tire Industry Association (TIA), a leader in tire safety, has released the training tour dates for the Irvine, California location during the 2018 Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Advanced Instructor Training Tour. These 4-day, hands-on training classes will be hosted across the United States with the goal of educating tire technicians on the proper safety procedures and guidelines for servicing passenger and light truck tire and wheel assemblies.
