The day will begin with TIA and fellow supporters visiting the US Department of Transportation (DOT) headquarters at 10:00am to discuss infrastructure and de-regulation.

TIA Promotes Tire Safety During National Car Care Month

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will spread tire safety tips to take part in April’s National Car Care Month.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, nearly 11,000 tire-related car crashes occur in the United States. Throughout the month of April, the Tire Industry Association will focus on educating drivers on the importance of keeping tires properly inflated while highlighting other important aspects of tire maintenance safety tips.

TIA Opens Nominations for Tire Industry Hall of Fame

TIA has announced that the 2018 nomination period for the Tire Industry Hall of Fame is open, with a deadline of July 2. Nominations can be made at www.tireindustry.org/hall-fame.

The Hall of Fame is open to individuals in the tire industry, including manufacturers, inventors, publishers, equipment suppliers, tire association executives, tire dealers, tire and rubber recyclers and retreaders. The Hall of Fame may be awarded posthumously.

California Dates Released for TIA’s 2018 Certified ATS Training Tour

Chris Monroe to be honored at NCTDA conference

RALEIGH, N.C. — Chris Monroe of Monroe Tire & Service in Shelby, N.C., will be honored as the Dealer of the Year at the upcoming North Carolina Tire Dealer Association (NCTDA) industry awards night.

The event will be held March 2 at the Raleigh City Center Marriott & Convention Center located in Raleigh, part of the two-day NCTDA Expo/Trade Show.

Tire Industry Association releases 63rd OTR Conference line-up
