Kubota, Titan Form Exclusivity Agreement for Goodyear R14 Crossover Tire

Titan International and Kubota Tractor Corporation (KTC) / Kubota Canada Limited (KCL) have formed an exclusivity agreement for Goodyear R14 crossover tires on select Kubota compact tractor models.

It is the first exclusivity agreement KTC and KCL have chosen to enter with a tire manufacturer.

Michelin tires fitted on All Nippon Airways’ A380s

Paris – Japan’s largest airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) will fit Michelin aircraft tires on all Airbus A380 planes used on a new Hawaii route.

The Michelin Air X radial tire was chosen “following a rigorous selection process,” Michelin announced 17 April.

The selected tire features Michelin’s patented near zero growth (NZG) technology.

The NZG technology is claimed to extend the tire’s service life through the use of a composite made of linear polyamide and aramid fibres.

Pirelli has announced that it equipped the ‘gullwing’ Mercedes 300 SL with its Cinturato CA67 tire at the 2019 tribute to the historic Milan to Sanremo race.

Besides being the first sporting tire in modern history, the Cinturato is Pirelli’s longest-standing brand, featuring on posters and in company adverts for decades. Sold as the CA67 from the early 1950s, the Cinturato was first developed as “tread pattern 367”.

Caterpillar selects Maxam tire for Cat Medium Wheel Loaders

Maxam Tire North America has secured an original equipment deal with Caterpillar for the Cat Medium Wheel Loaders, which will be shod with Maxam MS302 L3 tires in size 23.5 R25 MS302.

The tire is available optionally on the Cat 950GC, 950L, 950M, 962L and 962M in certain regions. The Maxam MS302 tire has also been approved for fitment on additional Cat Medium Wheel Loaders in futher sizes.

Low-profile (45 series or lower), run-flat, large diameter (wheel size in excess of 20”), and heavy assemblies (overall diameter exceeds 30”) have proved to be difficult to service.
