Falken Tire selected as original equipment for 2019 Volkswagen Jetta

Falken Tires has been selected as original equipment supplier to the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, providing fitments for both 16-inch as well as 17-inch with its Sincera SN250A All-Season tire. Sizes include 205/60R16 92H and 205/55R17 91H.

Falken began production in late March 2018 at parent company’s Sumitomo Rubber’s Thailand plant. Markets served for the new Jetta equipped with Falken-branded tires include all of North America, with 16-inch tires available this June.

Falken Tires to come as OE tire with new Subaru Ascent

Falken Tires has been chosen by Subaru to provide its Falken ZIEX ZE001 All-Season tires as original equipment to the all-new 2019 Subaru Ascent three-row SUV, launched at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Michelin, Sumitomo to enter landmark distribution agreement

Falken Tire picked as OE supplier for new Volkswagen Polo

Falken Tires has announced that it was selected as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the sixth-generation Volkswagen Polo. Available October 2017, the brand will supply its premium tire models AZENIS FK453, SINCERA 832AECORUN, ZIEX ZE914A ECORUN and winter tire EUROWINTER HS449 for factory fitting.

Falken Rolls Out New All-Season Tires

Falken Tire Corp. has introduced two new all-season tires; the Sincera SN201 A/S tire, designed for compact and mid-sized vehicles; and the ZIEX CT60 A/S tire, designed for modern crossovers.

The SN201 A/S is available in 14”-18” rim diameters and in both T & H speed ratings. The tire has been engineered for performance in all weather conditions due to its symmetrical rib design, solid center rib, high sipe density, four circumferential grooves and angled tread grooves, according to the company.

Falken to Replace Dunlop at Sumitomo Plant in Buffalo

Sumitomo Rubber has announced it will stop U.S. OE production of Goodyear’s Dunlop brand in 2018 at its Buffalo, N.Y., plant to instead focus on it’s own Falken Tires brand, according to an article in Nikkei Asian Review.

The plant was acquired from Goodyear in 2015 when Sumitomo Rubber ended its partnership.
