Falken Releases Ziex ZE960 A/S High-Performance All-Season Tire

Falken Tire has launched its newest tire, the Ziex ZE960 A/S, a high-performance all-season tire designed to deliver long-lasting safety and sports car-inspired performance to today’s dynamic passenger car vehicles, the company says.

The ZE960’s predecessor, the Ziex ZE950, was made in over 100 sizes for vehicles from sports coupes to CUVs. This time around, Falken limited its size offering to 53, specifically focusing on the demands of today’s dynamic coupes and sedans.

Falken to reveal new Sincera SN110 Ecorun in Paris

Falken (Booth 3J 081) is set to reveal the successor to its popular SN832 at Equip Auto in Paris next month. With an emphasis on all-round efficiency, the new Sincera SN110 Ecorun will be the centrepiece of the tyre manufacturer’s display alongside its expanding range of car, light commercial and truck and bus tyres.

“We’ve decided to reveal the SN110 at Equip Auto as it’s expected to be a key aftermarket tyre in Europe for customers who want more from their tyres. Thanks to clever aerodynamics and a new construction technique, they can expect better fuel economy and a longer tyre life,” says Markus Bögner, Managing Director, COO and President at Falken Tyre Europe. “With 49 sizes launching in 2020, we will offer a step-up in wear and fuel efficiency for many of the popular compact and mid-size cars including key European fitments such as 175/65/14, 185/60/15 and 205/60/16.”

Falken factory-fit for Audi Q3, Toyota Corolla

Brussels – Falken has been approved to supply high performance tires to Audi’s compact SUV, the Q3, the company announced 19 Sept.

The SUV will be fitted with the 215/65R17 99V derivative of Falken’s Ziex ZE914 A EC AO pattern, which is exclusively available for original equipment.

The tire has low rolling resistance and good handling and braking properties “even on wet roads,” said Falken Tyre Europe, an affiliate of Japanese tire maker Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI).

Falken launches new runflat version of popular winter tire

Falken’s runflat version of its popular winter tire, the EuroWinter HS01, will be available soon, along with an expanded range of sizes of the company’s winter and all-season tires.

Thanks to the company’s runflat technology, in the event of a puncture, the tire can be driven for 50 miles (80km) up to a speed of 50mph. The EuroWinter HS01 runflat is also said to offer grip on snowy, icy and wet roads.

Falken selected as supplier for Porsche Macan

Falken has been approved as an original equipment supplier for the Porsche Macan. The SUV version of the Falken best-seller Azenis FK510 is fitted in two sizes: 235/60 R18 and 255/55 R18.

With a special carcass design, the Azenis FK510 SUV is said to provide precise and refined steering, comfort and well-balanced overall driving characteristics.

Bauer Built Acquires Tire Division of Allied Oil & Tire

Bauer Built, Inc. has acquired the commercial tire division of Allied Oil & Tire Company effective April 1, 2019.

Allied, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, was founded over 60 years ago in 1958 by Conrad Heinson. The acquisition includes a total of seven commercial tire centers with locations in Omaha, Nebraska; Kansas City and Joplin, Missouri; Wichita, Kansas; Des Moines, Iowa; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Sioux City, Iowa.

Falken Tire Hosts Over 1,500 Dealers in First Year of Falken Academy

In the first year of its crash course in all things Falken Tire, Sumitomo Rubber Industries North America hosted more than 1,500 tire dealers at its headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga, California for Falken Academy.

Falken Tire to supply OE tire for new Mercedes-Benz G-Class

Falken Tire, a Sumitomo Rubber subsidiary, announced that it will supply original equipment tires for the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

Mercedes Benz’s new luxury SUV had its world premiere at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January 2018, is fitted with Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3WA and Euroall Season AS210A in size 265/60R18 in its initial equipment.

Falken Tire selected as original equipment for 2019 Volkswagen Jetta

Falken Tires has been selected as original equipment supplier to the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, providing fitments for both 16-inch as well as 17-inch with its Sincera SN250A All-Season tire. Sizes include 205/60R16 92H and 205/55R17 91H.

Falken began production in late March 2018 at parent company’s Sumitomo Rubber’s Thailand plant. Markets served for the new Jetta equipped with Falken-branded tires include all of North America, with 16-inch tires available this June.
