Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. recently broke ground on its distribution center in a business park that straddles the Tennessee-Mississippi border, according to The South Reporter.

At the groundbreaking, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant joined Cooper’s Bob Sager, the company’s director of North American supply chain, as well as other development officials in excitement about Cooper’s investment in the state.

Cooper Tire Announces Offtake Agreement With Sailun Vietnam For Production Of TBR Tires


Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has entered into a multi-year manufacturing offtake agreement with Sailun Vietnam Co. Ltd. for the production of truck and bus radial (TBR) tires for global markets. The offtake agreement gives Cooper a third global source of TBR tire production to meet growing customer needs. Tires will be manufactured under the Roadmaster, Dean and Starfire brands.

Michael Lutz named Cooper Tire DACH general manager


Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe Ltd. has appointed Michael Lutz as general manager for the German, Swiss and Austrian region (DACH). He is based at Cooper’s sales office in Dreieich, Germany and will report to Jaap van Wessum, sales director – Europe Tire Operations.

Cooper Tire Names New Plant Manager


Cooper Tire & Rubber Company has named Jim Pritchett as plant manager of its tire manufacturing facility in Tupelo, Miss., effective immediately.

Pritchett is responsible for directing all plant operations with a focus on manufacturing excellence including safety, product quality, manufacturing, equipment reliability, efficiency, sustainability, process improvement and standardization.

Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Reports Third Quarter 2017 Results; Management Updates Guidance

FINDLAY, Ohio- Cooper Tire & Rubber Company (NYSE:CTB) today reported third quarter 2017 net income of $62 million, or diluted earnings per share of $1.18, compared with $49 million, or $0.90 per share, last year. The quarter included a $39 million benefit from lower product liability costs. For comparison purposes, the third quarter of 2016 included a non-cash pension settlement charge of $11.5 million related to the lump-sum distribution of benefits offered to certain former employees.
