TRAC Announces 100th Annual General Meeting’s Outcomes

Cambridge, Ontario; June 11, 2020—Tire and Rubber Association of Canada announces the outcomes of its virtual 100th Annual General Meeting held on June 9, 2020.

 

AGM Outcomes:

1)     The members duly elected the Board of Directors and Officers:

Paul Downey         2nd Vice-Chair (Pliteq Inc.)

2)     The Board moved to establish a new End-of-Life Tire Standing Committee. Led by Dr. Barry Takallou of CRM of Canada Processing, the Committee will manage all issues related to tire and rubber recycling.

 

3)     Following Glenn Maidment’s announced retirement at the end of 2020, the Board moved to set up a Search Committee which will manage the screening and interviewing of potential candidates for a new President.

New BKT earthmoving & mining tyres

BKT doesn’t produce car tyres. Nor tyres for trucks or motorcycles. The company’s Research and Development Centre in India focuses solely on vehicles that operate off the highway, and constantly looks for new solutions by developing and fine-tuning tyre ranges and new tyre sizes for specialised applications.

BKT Renews Monster Jam Partnership Until 2026

BKT and Feld Motor Sports, the promotor of the Monster Jam show, have extended their partnership until 2026.

BKT is currently working on the development of the third generation of its 66-in. tire for these trucks. The company says the tire features excellent stability thanks to a particular shoulder design enabling it to bounce back at the moment of the impact and regain stability after landing from 10 meters high.
