For the past 5 years the concept of Sustainable Natural rubber has gained some attention in Latin America.

Guatemala was the first country on the region to pioneer on that subject having developed several projects ranging from  FSC ® (Forest Stewardship Council) certifications up to Carbon Credit emissions.

Colombia for its turn, have created recently a Carbon Taxation system that was the genesis for a national carbon credit market with great potential as a tool to promote low-carbon opportunities in the agricultural sector, being Natural Rubber an excellent choice.

Ag super single tyres to gain ground from tracks – Titan International


Will the agricultural market shift towards wheeled 4WD tractors over their tracked counterparts in the years to come? Titan International believes so. It bases this projection upon feedback from US agricultural equipment dealers and their customers, as well as from testing the tyre maker carried out in North America together with dealer group Van Wall Equipment. This showed that super single tyres offer comparable field performance and reduced soil compaction at a much lower cost than tracks.

Michelin launching 2nd-generation CerexBIB for harvesters


BOONE, Iowa — Michelin North America Inc. is launching a second-generation of its CerexBIB low-ground-pressure combine/harvester tire, the CerexBIB 2, which Michelin claims offers the best load capacity/lowest ground pressure on the market.

Michelin said the launch of the CerexBIB 2 at the Farm Progress Show in Boone is in response to the rising use of larger combines on farms throughout North America. The company is rolling out the new line in nine front-axle sizes and seven rear-axle sizes.
